Lasten menettäminen on ylivoimaisesti pahinta mitä vanhemmat voivat koskaan kokea. 12-vuotias Athena Orchard menehtyi luusyöpään 28. toukokuuta ja häntä jäivät perheen lisäksi kaipaamaan suuri joukko ystäviä ja sukulaisia. Kuoleman jälkeen Athenan isä teki odottamattoman löydön.
Pikkuneidin huoneessa olleen peilin takaa paljastui nimittäin pitkä viesti, jonka Athena jätti muistoksi itsestään. Dean-isä päätti julkistaa viestin Facebookissa, sillä se sisälsi paljon viisaita ja inspiroivia sanoja, joista meistä jokainen voi ottaa opikseen nauttiakseen elämästä paremmin.
